Lisa B. Dubrow
Lisa Dubrow has practiced in the advertising and marketing industries for over 20 years and started her solo practice in 2003. She was a founding member of the advertising department of Loeb & Loeb and the New York City advertising practice of Winston and Strawn. She was also a founding member of the advertising practice of Kay, Collyer & Boose LLP, which after she left the firm, later became the advertising department of Davis Wright & Tremaine.
She has also served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Executive Director of Privacy to Synapse Group, Inc., a direct subsidiary of Time Warner, Inc., where Ms. Dubrow and the legal department she managed provided day to day counsel for several business divisions. In this position she learned first-hand how to manage the competing needs of risk tolerance and moving a business forward.
Ms. Dubrow is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from SUNY Binghamton. She received her law degree from New York University School of Law.
She has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), European Union (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Management (CIPM) credentials through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Stephanie Bhonslay is known for collaborating with clients for over two decades to help produce and disseminate effective advertising and marketing across all traditional and digital channels. She has had a solo practice since 2014. She understands her clients’ businesses, their priorities and risk tolerance and takes these objectives into careful consideration while providing legal counsel on applicable law and the shifting regulatory landscape.
Stephanie Bhonslay’s legal career began in the Business Affairs Department at HBO. She then went on to private practice at the entertainment law firm, Cowan Bodine and Gold. From there, she joined Hall Dickler Kent Friedman and Wood, where she worked with some of the most prominent attorneys in the advertising, marketing and promotions industry and represented some of the largest agencies and advertisers. She then joined the video game software publisher and distributor, GT Interactive Software, as Senior Counsel. Most recently, she served as Assistant General Counsel for the worldwide ad agency, J. Walter Thompson U.S.A. and its subsidiary Team Detroit, where she counseled many of its largest multinational advertisers and provided support to senior executives and account groups.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she served on the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal.
She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), an internationally recognized resource and gold standard accreditation program for information privacy professionals and received certification as an Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) from the organization.
